A Pair of Suspects Charged for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
